About Me
Howdy!
Welcome to Mushie’s Farm! I’m Marusha, and I’m excited to share my journey as a female-owned and operated farm. With a background in Business, specializing in Hotel and Food from the University of Guelph, I’ve always dreamed of owning my own restaurant. Instead of cooking the food, I’m now raising it—because who needs a kitchen when you can have a pasture?
I am a first generation sheep farming and I am now a full-time farmer. I am dedicated to cultivating a thriving operation that reflects my passion for quality and sustainability.
Join me on this exciting journey as I share my experiences, from farm to table, and discover how I’m crafting exceptional lamb while nurturing the land.

Join the Adventure!
Here, every day is an opportunity for learning and growth. I’ve crafted a unique farm management style that harmonizes with the needs of the land and my animals. With the help of my donkeys, who serve as vigilant herd protectors, and my skilled border collies, the true working hands of the operation, I manage my farm solo most of the time, creating a dynamic and efficient environment.

By following my journey, you’ll get an inside look at sustainable farming practices, creative product offerings like our unique embroidery kits and beautiful wool items, and the heartwarming stories of our animals.

Let’s embark on this journey together—follow Mushie’s Farm today and become a part of our growing community!
Why I’m Passionate About Farming

My passion for this industry runs deep. It’s not just about raising sheep; it’s about building a future for myself and creating a thriving farm from the ground up.

I believe in the power of community. By connecting with like-minded sheep farmers and local businesses, I aim to foster a network that supports one another. Whether it’s sharing best practices, exchanging ideas, or simply providing a listening ear, I’m committed to building relationships that enrich my farming experience and promote sustainable practices. Together, we can feed our locals and contribute to a vibrant agricultural community.
Mental health is another cornerstone of my mission. Farming can be a solitary endeavor, and I recognize the importance of caring for our mental well-being. I’m dedicated to creating a welcoming space where conversations about mental health are encouraged, and support systems are in place.
