A Herding Facility Rental gives dog owners access to a safe, controlled environment with sheep to practice and develop their own herding skills.
Mushie’s Farm Herding Facility provides the sheep and the space. I do not provide dog training, instruction, coaching, or evaluations. All participants are solely responsible for handling, training, and controlling their own dogs while on the property.
Use of the facility is at your own risk. Dogs must remain under the control of their owner or handler at all times. Participants are responsible for the safety and welfare of their dogs, themselves, and the livestock throughout their training session.

Welcome to the fully fenced Herding Facility Rental at Mushie’s Farm, where you can work and train your dog alongside my lively Coopworth sheep. With friendly ewes (female sheep) on-site, you can create a safe and engaging environment for your training sessions.
Coopworth sheep are the perfect partners for keeping your dogs engaged and focused during training. Their energetic demeanor encourages dogs to practice essential herding commands, ensuring a productive training session—perfect for practicing holds, downs, flanks, and more!
Spanning approximately 80×160 feet, this safe space is ideal for honing your dog’s skills in a stimulating environment. I’ve transformed this area into a secure haven not just for my dogs but also for fellow dog enthusiasts. To ensure safety, a liability waiver form must be signed prior to use. Once registered, you’ll receive a login to book your preferred time from the available openings listed on our calendar.

This space allows you to use long lines and reward appropriate actions while directing the sheep. You can focus on verbal commands, creating a strong hold and release/recall, which are vital even in everyday life. By maintaining control of the situation, you can effectively integrate obedience training.
