Lamb availability fluctuates throughout the year. It is best to contact Mushie’s Farm and submit a request and we will confirm upon inquiry. There will be wait times on lamb availability due to the nature of the Farm.

WHOLE LAMB

Whole Lamb is priced as follows:

Price per pound on hang weight (pricing is based on the current farm price) and includes basic Processing, Cut & Package.

*Special requests can be made and may incur additional costs. You will be notified ahead of time if there are any additional costs and must be accepted before processing.

Prices will be confirmed upon inquiries.

*Hang Weight: is the weight of the whole lamb after processing but before butchering. The take-home meat will be less than the hang weight due to cutting and butchering.

*Take-home meat weight: varies also due to bone-in and boneless cuts of meat.

*Cuts: How you want the lamb to be cut and butchered must be confirmed at time of order. If required, Mushie’s Farm can assist you on this.

*Packaging: Lamb is packaged in butcher paper and frozen. Vacuum packed lamb will be an additional cost and will be confirmed upon request.

Additional Information

  • A carcass is comprised of bone, fat, and lean meat
  • The hide, feet, blood, and viscera and the head are not parts of a carcass
  • Carcass cutting yield is just one factor that influences the amount of take-home product
  • Water Loss: a lamb carcass consists of 70-75% water (most in the meat portion). As the carcass chills and ages, water will be lost through evaporation. In just the first 24 hours a carcass can lose 2 to 5% of its initial weight.

All premium cuts are frozen in butcher paper only and are priced per pound. Premium cuts availability will fluctuate throughout the year.
